Budgerigars in bush and aviary.
Sydney: Angus and Robertson, (1933. first edition). Octavo, uncoloured frontispiece (the second edition has a coloured frontispiece), colour plates. Publisher's green cloth, owner's florid signature on endpaper, also his signature on title page, tipped in the upper dustwrapper and a newspaper cutting describing a substantial collection in Geelong, scarce.
Neville Cayley illustrated the first standard for Australian show budgiergars and was very involved in the promotion of the hobby of Budgerigar breeding. This book is arguably the first substantial monograph on Budgerigars and preceded Watmough's classic 'The cult of the budgerigar' by five years.
