PROVENANCE: A superb association copy, signed by both authors for Ambrose Pratt.
Ambrose Pratt (1874 – 1944) was a journalist with a deep interest, in natural history. He wrote The lore of the lyre bird, first published 1933 and The call of the Koala in 1937. He was heavily involved in the establishment of what is now called Healesville Sanctuary, part of Melbourne Zoo.
