London: The Avicultural Society, 1951. Octavo, coloured frontispiece, photographs. Binder's cloth, owner's signature, a fine copy.
A minor classic of aviculture literature. Alan Lendon was prominent medical practioner in Adelaide pre and post World War Two. He contributed extensively to the Aviculture Magazine and this pamphlet is a compilation of many of his papers. He was perhaps Australia's leading parrot breeder in the 1950's and bred a number of species for the first time.
