Extinct wingless birds are a collection of various articles primarily published in the Transactions of the Zoological Society of London, repaginated and altered to form an independent book and is the finest work ever published on fossil birds. "A classic treatise ... The osteology of extinct birds is especially well treated and illustrated" (Casey Wood).
