The Whitney South Sea Expedition (1920-1941) was the most extensive ornithological collecting and research expedition of the twentieth century with 4000 specimens collected for the American Museum of Natural History. This volume contains all the published papers up until the publication date, with 35 contributions by Robert Cushman Murphy, Gregory Mathews, Ernst Mayr and others.
