WINNER ANNOUNCED for the Capturing the essence competition, Celebrating 30 years of business!
2 September 2011
We are excited to announce the lucky winner of the Capturing the essence competition, Neil Walter of Adelaide. This competition celebrates 30 years of business for Andrew Isles Natural History Books. All customers who purchased the book were assigned a number, and the winning entrant was drawn using an online random number generator (www.Random.org). Congratulations to Neil, who is now the proud owner of an original William T. Cooper watercolour of a Black-faced Monarch. Thank you also to William T. Cooper for the opportunity to offer this fantastic artwork to our customers for this special event and for producing such a wonderful book.
Each copy of Capturing the essence comes with a personally signed bookplate by Bill Cooper, which was produced especially for our 30th anniversary. The book is a step-by-step personal guide, to observing, retaining the essential information, and then painting birds from field notes and sketches, photographs and other field observations.
