Large quarto, 24 pp. 30 double page handcoloured plates including eight of reptiles and amphibians. Publisher's coloured illustrated boards with new spine and endpapers, a few blemishes but a very sound copy of a handsome book. With the bookplate of David McPhee.
Quarto, 166 pp. 30 handcoloured plates by Smit. Early plain orange wrappers, some chipping, the signature of "V. Reiser 1906". A few spots mainly confined to the text, the plates clean.

Octavo, four volumes, 3054 pp. three colour plates, photographs and other illustrations. Binder's red cloth, all edges speckled, with the bookplate and signatures of Stephen Marchant, a very good set of a scarce work (only 300 copies of part one were published).

Large octavo, two volumes, 1310 pp. 36 handcoloured engraved plates. Early brown calf and marbled boards, all edges coloured, a few inoffensive spots, otherwise a handsome copy.
Small quarto, 412 pp. text illustrations. Publisher's cloth, signature and bookplate of Angus d'A. Bellairs, scarce.
Quarto, four volumes, 2690 pp. Modern quarter morocco and marbled boards, some minor marginal staining in volume one, publisher's blue wrappers retained, very scarce.
