30th Anniversary of Andrew Isles Natural History Books

25 February 2011

2011 marks 30 years of business for Andrew Isles Natural History Books. Throughout the year we will be marking this occasion with a number of promotions and events. Please read below for more details of these promotions.

A word from Andrew Isles:

In April 1981 I started my business with the intention of specialising in natural history. Thirty years later this intention is unchanged although the occasional foray into Australiana, Antarctica, travel and exploration is tolerated. Over the past thirty years the changes in the book trade have been immense and could not have been predicted in 1981. This is of course due to the advents of the computer and the huge changes the electronic world has brought to bear on commerce.

We have been fortunate to build the business from the tiniest of bases into one of the largest natural booksellers in the world. Over the years we have handled many fine antiquarian titles but continue to develop the new and secondhand book business with an emphasis on the better semi-technical monographs in all fields of natural history.
