This year's event entitled 'Sustaining biodiversity - the next 50 years', is being held at the Australian National University in Canberra from 6-10 December and coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the ESA; providing an ideal opportunity to take both a retrospective and prospective review of ecology in Australia.
